TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta regional-owned bus company PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is set to deploy 100 buses to serve passengers at corridor 13 connecting Ciledug and Kapten Tendean.
Transjakarta director Budi Kaliwono said that a 9.3-kilometer non-toll flyover has been built to shorten the travel time to reach the city center to 30 minutes. Budi added that Transjakarta's Corridor 13 can serve about 24,000 passengers per day.
"Corridor 13 is better because the route can reduce vehicle volumes," Budi said in Jakarta on Monday, January 9, 2017.
Budi expects that the new corridor will be fully operational in June and will be integrated with Corridors 1, 4, 6, 9, and 10.
"It's a new hope for Transjakarta to reach suburban areas, so that people can have more comfortable and cheaper transportation," Budi said.
