TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Yogyakarta has decided that the tourism sector is one way to stimulate the regional economy.This has to be supported by good infrastructure, said Deputy Mayor for Yogyakarta Haryadi Suyuti, on Tuesday (12/8).Haryadi said a market for arts and handicrafts will be built with the concept of what to see, what to eat, and what to buy. The market will include meeting rooms, a cafeteria, and space for art performances.The market is also intended to be a facility for small-and medium-sized micro enterprises to sell their products.Haryadi explained that 80 percent of the economy in Yogyakarta is dependent on trade activities. There are 17,671 small- and medium-sized enterprises in Yogyakarta. The Government has provided a website for the enterprises marketing their product.
